We’ve all had the feeling of dread approaching us when things just don’t go to plan. You had a good idea or strong ambition conjure up false expectations in your head, and again we’ve all been there, then when it comes to it reality hits. Your ambition just didn’t go to plan.

Then follows the fear of either admitting defeat or having to start again. And although the former seems the most tempting as it’s the easiest option, the latter can be the way to go.

Why don’t people want to start over?

It’s time-consuming — the thought of having to re-try or even take a new approach is understandably off-putting for some.

To put it into perspective though, If J.K Rowling gave up after one rejection, instead of seeing through twelve rejections(!), of her highly successful Harry Potter book empire, then Harry Potter wouldn’t exist today. (But then again, England would definitely not be as romanticised by global fans as it is today… Trust me, Hogwarts is not an exact depiction of this country.)

Perhaps finding the time to restart is a struggle. You may find my other articles on goal…
